A Great Success but ....
The membership option at Dozzi has been a great success with nearly 1000 members - most of them joining in the past 9 months, since the new team took over. This runs hand in hand with the long-term policy of Ian and Pauline Forster to operate their Gildenburgh and Dosthill National Inland Dive Sites as family-orientated, friendly centres, with staff that welcome divers and do their best to cultivate a relaxed, enjoyable environment.
It is disappointing, therefore, that a recent check of the signing-in records show that a small number of Non-Members are claiming they have forgotten their membership cards and frequent user cards in order to avoid paying the casual user fee. This is further aggravated by a few Members who are not organising themselves to keep their membership card and frequent user card in their wallet/purse so are unable to present both on the gate or at the shop.
If you don't want to read any more then Bring both cards to dive Dozzi.
So, regretably from 04/05/2010, due to the transgressions of the minority, it has become necessary to amend the Dozzi Entry Procedures as follows:-
Diving or Training
Dozzi Member Card not presented and Dozzi Frequent User Card not presented . The diver will have to pay the appropriate casual user fee of £12 before 5pm or £8 after 5pm. If the diver wishes to claim a refund, they can obtain a No Card Form comprising key contact information from the shop which can be returned to the shop when completed. When this is received staff will subsequently attempt to check the details on the form against the main database at Gildenburgh. Detailed conditions are set out on the form.
Dozzi Frequent User Card presented but Dozzi Member Card not presented. As above. However, the Frequent User Card will not be stamped with the current date until the diver's membership has been verified.
Dozzi Frequent User Card not presented. The diver will not have his Frequent User Card stamped and will not be able to get it backdated. He may request a new Frequent User Card and have it stamped, but that date cannot be credited to the other card if eventually found.
These amended procedures will be published on www.divedozzi.com and will be publicised at both sites, including detailed conditions on the No Card Form. Currently registered training organisations will also be notified.
Please direct any queries to ian@divedozzi.com or 07928 562916.
We sincerely hope these amendments do not affect your enjoyment of diving at Dozzi!
